Hassan II Mosque

The Hassan II Mosque, located in Casablanca, is one of the largest mosques in the world, with its minaret rising 200 meters above the sea. It was built under the reign and directives of King Hassan II.

Built partially over the sea, it is a religious and cultural complex spread over nine hectares. It includes a prayer hall, an ablution room, baths, a Quranic school, a library, a museum, and an Academy of Traditional Arts.

It is one of the only mosques, along with the one in Tinmel in the High Atlas, that is accessible to non-Muslims.

It is said, in the land of Islam, that whoever builds a mosque during their lifetime inherits a beautiful house in the paradise of Allah.
